Brice Concrete has officially commenced sales from its new readymix concrete batching plant in Witham, marking a major step forward in expanding its offering to the construction industry across Essex and the Eastern Region.

The state-of-the-art, high-output batching plant is designed to deliver consistently high-quality wet batched concrete, supplied via Brice’s dedicated fleet of mixer trucks. This latest investment strengthens the company’s position as a reliable concrete supplier in Essex, capable of supporting projects of every scale.

Brice Aggreagtes have today commenced the construction of their new readymix concrete batching facility at their Witham site. This will see the company move into the readymix business and further broaden their ever expanding offering to the construction industry. The technically capable, high output plant will produce quality wet batched concrete for distribution throughout Essex using a forthcoming fleet of mixer drums. Sales will trade under the Brice Concrete brand. 

The build programme is expected to last for four weeks with commissioning targeted for mid December 2020.

Despite the unprecdented and challenging times presented by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Brice Aggregates remain open to serve the needs of industy. With additional measures introduced to ensure the safety of our staff, contractors, and customers, the business has been able to continue to serve the ongoing needs of essential construction projects throughout the region.  

Brice Aggregates have today received FORS Bronze level accreditation for their transport operations. This industry wide benchmark recognises excellence in the running of haulage operations. Managing Director Oliver Brice commented “I am delighted that Brice Aggregates have today received FORS accreditation, to have done so within two months of having launched our transport operations is testament to the hard work and professionalism of all involved. This exemplifies our efforts to provide a modern and forward looking service to our customers.

Brice Aggregates have today launched their in house haulage operations following the purchase of vehicles from Scania. The fleet is set to swiftly expand to ten vehicles during the course of H1 2020 providing the ability to service customers’ needs directly without reliance on third party hauliers. In response to strong customer demand, Brice Aggregates have today added two new products to their line up of quality primary sands. These include a soft washed sand ideal for mortar use, and a 6mm ballast providing an ultra coarse grade sand for the block and precast markets. These products were launched in collaboration with a number of key customers and underline Brice Aggregates flexibility and customer first approach.

Brice Aggregates have resolved to increase production from their flagship Colemans Quarry in response to strong customer demand. Following the resolution of necessary planning matters, production will rise by up to one third from current levels. Oliver Brice, Managing Director commented “since launching operations in 2017, we have been pleased to be able to support the needs of the Essex construction industry. This planned increase in output will enable us to continue to serve our customers growing needs with a high quality, local supply of aggregates from our Witham base”.
