Additional Sand Products Launched

In response to strong customer demand, Brice Aggregates have today added two new products to their line up of quality primary sands. These include a soft washed sand ideal for mortar use, and a 6mm ballast providing an ultra coarse grade sand for the block and precast markets. These products were launched in collaboration with a number of key customers and underline Brice Aggregates flexibility and customer first approach.

Output to Increase in Response to Strong Demand

Brice Aggregates have resolved to increase production from their flagship Colemans Quarry in response to strong customer demand. Following the resolution of necessary planning matters, production will rise by up to one third from current levels. Oliver Brice, Managing Director commented “since launching operations in 2017, we have been pleased to be able to support the needs of the Essex construction industry. This planned increase in output will enable us to continue to serve our customers growing needs with a high quality, local supply of aggregates from our Witham base”. 

Launch of Production and Sales at Colemans Quarry

Following a 9 month period of construction and development, today marks the first day of sand and gravel production and sales from Colemans Quarry, Witham. Works have included the installation of accesses and other site infrastructure, a best in class Terex washplant, and the opening of excavations. Commenting on the milestone, Chairman Simon Brice said “today represents a great occasion for the business and the culmination of a three year process to secure planning permission and develop the site. I look forward to building on this milestone and providing much needed new supplies of sand and gravel into the marketplace”

Colemans Quarry in Witham Essex is Now Open for Production

Brice Aggregates is pleased to announce that Colemans Quarry in Witham is now officially open and operational, marking a significant milestone in the company’s continued growth as a leading aggregate and sand and gravel supplier.

Following a nine-month programme of construction and site development, the quarry has today commenced its first production and sales of high-quality sand and gravel, supplying essential materials to the construction industry across the region.

The development of Colemans Quarry represents a substantial investment in local quarrying infrastructure and materials supply, helping to meet increasing demand for reliable aggregates and construction materials.
Key works completed during the construction phase include:
Installation of site access and internal infrastructure
Commissioning of a state-of-the-art Terex wash plant
Opening of new sand and gravel extraction areas
This modern setup ensures the site can deliver consistent, high-specification aggregate products, supporting projects of all sizes, from local developments to major infrastructure works.
